One of the best freelance opportunities we’ve had was an extended stay at Meta in the  Reality Labs division. We got to work on everything from Facebook Portal to Ray-Ban Stories to Meta Quest.  We developed entire social campaigns, created new packaging, oversaw partner agencies, and a whole lot of other stuff we promised we wouldn’t talk about because of our non-disclosure agreements.

WELCOME TO THE METAVERSE

We had the privilege of working on the first trailer announcement for Horizon Worlds, Meta’s VR social universe where you can hang out, play games, attend events or simply flex your creativity.

One the big challenges facing Horizon Worlds was attracting builders and developers. People to create amazing new worlds to inspire more users and generate more buzz. So we created a social campaign to show these builders some of the possibilities. (Side note: it’s a rather unique challenge to “film” and direct real people while actually inside a VR experience.)

META CONNECT SOCIAL SIZZLE

Meta Connect is an annual conference to talk about the latest awesomeness in AR and VR. This year it was held exclusively in Horizon Worlds. While many witnessed it live in the metaverse, others missed it. To help recapture the excitement and keep the conversation going, we created a sizzle reel for our social channels.

META QUEST / BEAT SABER

Beat Saber is undoubtedly one of our favorite games for Quest. So naturally we thought it pretty cool when we got to design the cover art for their latest adrenaline-pumping, beat-slashing title.

FACEBOOK PORTAL

For the release of Portal Go and Portal+, we had the opportunity to work on films that not only showcased the unique functionalities of Portal, but also demonstrated how technology can truly bring people together.

PORTAL PACKAGING / PHOTOGRAPHY

We were in charge of running all the photoshoots that not only captured all of the devices but all of the on-screen content as well. Some of these images were incorporated into the packaging design for individual Portal devices, while others were incorporated into the website.

META QUEST 2

Turns out it’s also fun to be the client. We oversaw the super-talented team at Anomaly to help bring this new Quest campaign to life.
